Our goal was to design an urban architectural solution for the space of Jarkova street, which is a part of the Heritage reserve of the city of Prešov, while preserving and respecting its historical urban structure. We tried to design a suitable composition of the street space, meeting the requirements of service traffic infrastructure, creating the optimal paved areas, suitably separated from the traffic without affecting people with health conditions or impairments (barrier-free), supporting business-service and social functions. These are the steps we are taking to gradually revitalise today’s service and supply street that is dominated by parking into a modern street of urban character.
