Project overview
The Drechsler Palace in Budapest is a French Renaissance-style building designed by Ödön Lechner in the late 19th century. After falling into disuse in 2002, it decayed rapidly, but it reopened last year as part of the W hotel chain.Besides preserving the building’s architectural features, the design aimed to meet the standards of a luxury hotel. This approach balanced aesthetic and technical needs, integrating historical values with modern architectural solutions to create a cohesive design.
