The request of the investor was, to join and upgrade on the existing facility, a place that would attract visitors for wine tasting. Three distinctive volumes define the intervention: two horizontal forms following the existing structure’s levels, and a detached vertical tower positioned as a landmark at the site’s highest point. The tower serves as the main entrance and connects to the elevated restaurant via a closed bridge. Large southwest-facing openings frame vineyard views and draw in natural light. The use of natural materials at ground level allows the extension to blend with the landscape, giving the composition a light, floating appearance within the open field. On the other hand, the vertical volume – the lookout tower is independently placed in relation to the building, as the highest point in the field. The tower is also used as the main access to the restaurant – the horizontal volume, which is connected to the first floor by a closed bridge.
