Project overview

“Move Quickly, Live Slowly” reimagines Astana as a resilient, people-first capital. Through blue-green infrastructure, retrofitted streets, and restored lakes, we balance fast-paced urban growth with slow, healthy living. Two strategic masterplans—Mynzhyldyk Alley and Turan—showcase year-round public spaces, walkable corridors, and a harmonious relationship between city and nature.

Project history

The project began in September 2023 as part of Astana’s strategic push for a healthier, people-centered capital. The client sought visionary solutions to retrofit the city for wellbeing while managing rapid growth. Over 1.5 years, concept work evolved through seasonal site visits, public consultations, and collaboration with local stakeholders. The process empowered the community and led to a shared vision—impacting policy, improving local pride, and setting a new benchmark for sustainable urbanism.
