Project overview

The reconstruction of the Health Station in Kotlujevac, Zaječar aims to modernize a critical public facility. The design prioritizes accessibility, spatial efficiency, and energy performance while respecting the existing urban context. Programmatic needs include updated medical services, staff areas, and improved patient flow. The project aligns with sustainable principles, with cost-efficiency considered throughout all phases.

Project history

The initiative to reconstruct the Health Station in Kotlujevac emerged from the City of Zaječar’s recognition of the urgent need to improve primary healthcare infrastructure. The original building, outdated and inefficient, could no longer meet modern standards. In collaboration with health professionals and the local government, the design team was commissioned to reimagine the facility with enhanced functionality, accessibility, and sustainability. From the client’s perspective, the project symbolizes an investment in long-term public well-being and institutional resilience.
