Project overview

The Eagle’s Nest project revitalizes the high mountain area of Adjara, transforming it into a prominent tourism landmark while preserving its pristine natural environment. It features the longest dual-lane zipline in Europe, with a total length of 1,850 meters. The lower station is situated at an altitude of 2,050 meters, while the upper station stands at 2,446 meters above sea level. Guests can reach thrilling speeds of up to 120 km/h, ensuring an intense rush of adrenaline.

Project history

The project originated in 2020 at the initiative of the Agency for Tourism Products Development of the Adjara Region, inspired by the vision of creating a new and unique tourist destination to promote the development of the mountain population. After extensive research, feasibility studies and multiple proposals, the client chose to develop the “Eagle’s Nest” idea, to offer an immersive public experience of the spectacular mountain landscape. The building that serves as the lower station of the zipline houses visitor information center, cafeteria and terrace. Its design is inspired by the traditional summer pasture settlements. The upper station is designed as a sculptural installation that evokes the image of an eagle’s nest, the majestic birds that soar through the region. It functions as the departure point of the zipline and also as a panoramic viewing platform. The overall design strikes a balance between preservation and modern functionality, using sustainable materials.
