Project overview

Located on Romania’s largest brick factory platform, the Cemacon Headquarters is an emblematic building expressing the company’s identity. Ceramic blocks and concrete are exposed as key materials, in both architecture and interior design, showcasing elements usually hidden during construction. The concept blends industrial character with natural features in a coherent, expressive form.

Project history

Started in 2023, the project addressed Cemacon’s need for a symbolic headquarters on its industrial platform. The design highlights ceramic blocks and concrete, typically seen only during early construction phases. These materials were used expressively in both the architecture and interior design. A ventilated façade of ceramic blocks and visible concrete evokes the raw look of a building “at red stage,” but in a refined, final form. The semicircular entrance made from perforated ceramic blocks frames a central tree, anchoring the spatial composition. Across its three levels, including a rooftop terrace for events and potential vertical expansion, the building integrates shared spaces and offices in a clear spatial sequence. Locally sourced, natural materials define the interiors, where ceramic elements are inserted as accents. Completed in 2024, the building stands as a manifesto of Cemacon’s identity, translating industrial materials into architectural and interior storytelling.
