The contemporary look of this 1000 sqm house is achieved through its simple volume, generous windows, and spectacular cantilevers. The facades are defined by clean lines and discreet, neutral tones. Project history
Early 2020: A family in Bucharest decided to build a modern home that harmonized with the contemporary style of their neighborhood while providing the benefits of a private house.Mid 2020: Initial planning began, leveraging the lot’s advantageous location in a well-developed and harmonious area with good infrastructure.Late 2020 – Early 2021: Design and development phases took place, focusing on integrating the house into its historic surroundings while maintaining modern aesthetics and functionality.October 2021: The project was completed.Client’s PerspectiveThe family envisioned a home that would seamlessly blend with the modern architecture of the neighborhood. They wanted a space that maximized the benefits of outdoor living, including a well-thought-out garden and covered terrace. Their goals included efficient solar orientation and natural ventilation to ensure a comfortable living environment throughout the year.Design and ConstructionThe design focused on:Solar Control: The house was oriented and organized to control solar gain, providing shade for the glazed areas in summer while allowing lower winter sunlight to penetrate and warm the interiors.Natural Ventilation: The inner garden and covered terrace were designed to promote air circulation, maintaining a pleasant ambiance during the warm season.Aesthetic Integration: Clean lines, generous windows, and neutral tones ensured the house blended into its surroundings while standing out as a unique architectural piece.Community and Economic ImpactClient Satisfaction: The family achieved their goal of a modern, functional home that offered the best of both indoor and outdoor living.
