Meet Iuliana Damir, the artist behind the exhibition at the SHARE Architecture Awards

The projects nominated for the SHARE Architecture Awards in Athens on October 7-8 will be showcased in an exhibition organized at the event venue, the Athens Conservatoire, as well as in a traveling exhibition that will tour for one year across the countries where SHARE organizes international architecture forums.

The design of the Athens exhibition will be created by Iuliana Damir, architect, artist, and storyteller, who shared more about the concept behind this artistic endeavor:

“The exhibition design project we are preparing for the SHARE Architecture Awards 2024 brings an innovative approach, different from other similar exhibitions. We aim to create a space where the visitor not only observes architecture but becomes part of it through an immersive experience. The exhibition concept proposes active interaction with the displayed objects, transforming architecture into a tactile and sensory experience. Architecture, although it may seem distant and complex, is a field that celebrates human innovation and creativity. This exhibition seeks to reflect this very duality: between mystery and accessibility, between technology and tradition. The October exhibition in Athens, organized at the Conservatoire Arts Center, will begin this immersive journey into the world of architecture, offering the public a dynamic and deeply personal experience.”

Iuliana Damir has gained experience in design, publications, curating, and exhibitions, and now runs her own architecture office, blending Eastern and Western European cultures, integrating psychology, sociology, and history into her projects for high-quality architecture.
