Project history
•tFloor-specific organisation of the building area:•t1stfloor(reconstructed):entrance hall and working office premises.• 2nd floor (reconstructed): working office premises, senior management offices and golf simulator.•t3rd floor (newly built): TV studios, premises of TV channels.•t4th floor (newly built): conference hall for 100 people, two large talks room and a roofed terrace for having a rest in the open air.The existing building has undergone various interventions in its layout structure throughout its operation. By the time the design process began, the building had become morally outdated. Building was originally designed as a fusion of two architectural styles – minimalism and barn-house, asymmetric from all sides, with very concise facade designs. The project authors breathed new life into building.Radical changes were made to the existing building: the layout solution and load-bearing structures. It was reorganized on both floors from a corridor-type layout, with small offices on either side of the corridor, into single office spaces by floors. The floors were divided into large functional zones, roughly separated by glass transparent partitions. A new volume was added to the front of the building: a staircase with an elevator and waiting halls, spanning four floors. Additionally, another new volume was built on top: another new floor, above the existing two old ones. Thus, connecting the old reconstructed floors with the new building. The project includes recreation in the inner courtyard adjacent to the auxiliary entrance of the building (a covered terrace with outdoor furniture). The terrace’s canopy proudly hovers above, shielding everything beneath it from the scorching sun, heavy rains, and snow. The canopy is pierced through by the trunk of a pine tree, which rises like a mast towards the sky through a circular hole in it.
