The British International School of Timișoara embarked on a transformative journey to create one of Romania’s most modern educational facilities. Over eight months, the project began by engaging stakeholders through focus groups, workshops, and interviews to understand their needs. This led to the “Learning Plaza” design concept, centered on knowledge and development. The construction emphasized transparency, inclusion, and openness, integrating multifunctional spaces, digital solutions, and flexible furniture to support various activities. Ovidiu Șandor, a founder of the school, highlighted the joy of seeing students grow in an environment that supports diverse interests. The new facilities have significantly impacted the community, fostering a sense of belonging and engagement among students and teachers. The BIST now offers a wide range of subjects and extracurricular programs, contributing to the holistic development of its students and enhancing the educational landscape of Timișoara.
