The permanent exhibition of the Visoko Homeland Museum in Visoko, Bosnia and Herzegovina (2026) The project emerged from the need to reinterpret the city’s historical narrative within the existing Austro-Hungarian period museum building, which is protected as a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina. From the outset, the client emphasized preservation, minimal intervention, and a contemporary yet respectful transformation of the museum interior. The design process began with research and curatorial structuring of Visoko’s history into a clear chronological and spatial narrative. This evolved into a proposal that organizes the exhibition as a continuous visitor journey: starting in the entrance hall with a historical timeline, continuing through a sequence of exhibition rooms, and culminating in a thematic spatial experience.
