Project overview

Tashkent City Mall is a 410,000 m² mixed-use landmark integrating Uzbekistan’s largest mall with hotel, residential and office towers. Conceived as a permeable urban framework, it connects to Tashkent City Park through grand terraces, daylight-filled atriums and clear pedestrian routes. High-performance glazing and seismic engineering enhance comfort, resilience and operational efficiency, while the mall interiors embed Tashkent’s cultural and historical narratives to extend visitor dwell time.

Project history
Initiated in 2017 as part of Tashkent’s major urban renewal programme, the project grew from Hyper Partners’ ambition to create a world-class mixed-use destination for Central Asia. Design began in 2018, followed by construction in 2020, and despite pandemic-related disruption, the mall opened in February 2024. Since then, Tashkent City Mall Mixed-Use Complex has become a major social and commercial anchor, welcoming an estimated 100,000 visitors daily and projecting annual footfall of approximately 36.5 million. With 160 active shops, 39 F&B venues, publicly accessible spaces and clear pedestrian connections to Tashkent City Park, it functions as more than a retail destination. Its layered programme supports planned and spontaneous activity, strengthens public life in the city centre and advances the client’s vision of positioning Tashkent as an emerging metropolitan hub in Central Asia.
