Project overview

The project included the installation of more than 15,000 m² of insulated sandwich wall panels with a 100 mm basalt mineral wool core. Together with dedicated flashings, trims, and accessories, the panels form a complete building envelope system engineered to deliver consistent, high-performance results.
The solution provides certified EI 180 and REI 180 fire resistance, as well as excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and long-term durability.

Project history
The project was driven by the specific requirements of a modern paper manufacturing facility, where fire risk and the need to maintain stable indoor conditions demand a high-performance building envelope. From the design stage, the façade was conceived not as a collection of individual components but as a fully integrated system. The insulated sandwich panels, flashings, trims, and accessories were engineered to work together, delivering fire protection, thermal insulation, mechanical strength, and long-term operational reliability. The result is a building envelope capable of providing up to 180 minutes of certified fire resistance while minimizing heat loss, maintaining stable indoor temperatures, and reducing operational energy demand. Its long service life and low maintenance requirements further support the facility’s economic efficiency and promote the responsible use of resources throughout the building’s lifecycle.
