The house is located in Voluntari and was purchased by the client with the clear intention of transforming it completely. From the beginning, the goal was not only to update its appearance, but to recover the potential of an existing structure and turn it into a contemporary, energy-efficient home.
The project began with an analysis of the existing building, followed by a first architectural proposal that was accepted immediately by the client. This created a strong and clear direction for the entire process. The intervention included structural consolidation, extension, interior reconfiguration and a complete redesign of the façades, with all works coordinated to improve comfort, functionality and nZEB energy performance.
For the clients, the project turned an outdated house into a home adapted to their lifestyle and future needs. For the community, it demonstrates how existing residential buildings can be responsibly recovered instead of demolished, contributing to a more coher
