Project overview

"Emergent" is a modern AI and tech research center in Academ Alatau, Almaty, fostering collaboration between science, education, and industry. The 4-story building houses labs, workshops, co-working spaces, lecture halls, conference and exhibition zones, a gym, and terraces. The architectural design creates an inspiring, interdisciplinary environment for research and innovation while integrating advanced energy-efficient and sustainable technologies.

Project history

The “Emergent” project originated from the need to address Kazakhstan’s limited multidisciplinary research infrastructure in artificial intelligence and new technologies. Initially, the client envisioned a forward-thinking facility within the Academ Alatau science cluster (Almaty) to bridge the gap between science, education, and industry. Conceptualized through an interdisciplinary lens, the project evolved into a sustainable 4-story hub featuring advanced labs, collaboration zones, and conference spaces. By integrating energy-efficient architecture, “Emergent” empowers local specialists, fosters regional innovation, and strengthens the community’s research ecosystem.
