Initiated through a 2017 architectural competition by Penta Real Estate, the Nusle Brewery project envisioned transforming a long-closed brownfield into a vibrant residential hub.
From the start, the client prioritized sensitive integration and open communication to revive the site’s historical role as a social center. The project timeline advanced with a permit application in August 2020, approval in July 2021, construction starting in August 2021, and final completion in 2024.
The development profoundly impacts the community by reopening a previously inaccessible area, restoring the urban structure of Hostivitova Street, and introducing a lively public square. A participatory process even allowed local school children to co-design the playground. For the clients and the new residents, the project delivers modern apartments featuring private courtyards and offering an intimate living environment perfectly balanced with the active public spaces.
