The Palisad Multifunctional Park was developed as part of the EU-funded project “Prevention, Response and Adaptation to Climate Change in ITI Užice”, aimed at strengthening local communities in addressing the impacts of climate change. Initiated by the Municipality of Čajetina, the park reconstruction was identified as an opportunity to transform an existing public space into a resilient, inclusive and multifunctional landscape.
The project responds to the need for improved public infrastructure, climate adaptation and greater quality of life for residents and visitors. The design preserves existing natural assets while introducing sustainable materials, new vegetation, recreational facilities and spaces for different generations.
Through the project, Palisad Park becomes a more accessible, adaptable and socially active public space, contributing to climate resilience and strengthening the community’s capacity to respond to future environmental challenges.
