Project overview

The Mountain Resort Complex is the first large-scale mountain resort in Uzbekistan, terraced into the Western Tien Shan slopes above the Charvak Reservoir. Bringing the experience of a seaside resort to the mountains, it centres on water landscapes with pools exceeding 10,000 m². Taking the intuitive image of a cruise liner, the low, stepped building follows the relief to frame views and minimise earthworks, uniting a 246-key hotel, an aquapark, an event tower and villas into one destination.

Project history
Conceived as the first mountain resort of its scale in Uzbekistan, the complex sits on a slope above the Charvak Reservoir, the country’s principal mountain-tourism area, combining dramatic natural views with year-round leisure. From the outset the design set out to build economically in a demanding mountain environment: the architecture is spread across the natural terraces to minimise earthworks and construction risk while opening every space to the landscape. The programme brings together a hotel, an extensive water and aquapark zone, an event tower, restaurants, wellness facilities and detached villas within a single destination. For the client, the project establishes a landmark, market-defining resort; for the region, it creates a pioneering leisure destination that strengthens domestic tourism and sets a new benchmark for hospitality in Uzbekistan.
