Project overview

Located in Ljubljana’s old town, Lucky Cat combines contemporary design with Asian-inspired aesthetics. The 130 m² interior features custom furniture, Shinnoki Shadow Eucalyptus veneer, earthy tones, bespoke textile artworks, and distinctive lighting. A central bar, handcrafted details, and carefully curated materials create a warm, cohesive atmosphere. The experience extends to a bamboo-lined outdoor garden accommodating 40 additional guests.

Project history
Lucky Cat’s new location in Ljubljana’s historic center emerged from the client’s ambition to elevate an established restaurant brand through a distinctive spatial identity. The project began with a vision to create more than a dining venue—a complete experience that would merge contemporary design with subtle Asian influences. During the design phase, inspiration was drawn from traditional dim sum baskets, shaping the material palette, custom furnishings, lighting, and bespoke textile installations. Following construction and fit-out, the restaurant opened as a carefully curated environment where every detail contributes to a cohesive atmosphere. The project has strengthened the Lucky Cat brand, enhanced the guest experience, and enriched Ljubljana’s old town by introducing a thoughtfully designed hospitality space that attracts both locals and visitors while contributing to the area’s vibrant social and cultural life.
