The project began with the reconstruction of an existing building that lacked a distinct architectural identity. Rather than replacing it, the intervention reinterpreted the structure through adaptive reuse, creating a contemporary destination for recreation, hospitality, and community activities. Designed as a space for children, the façade was inspired by the soft, futuristic geometry of the EVE character from the animated film WALL-E, introducing playful sculptural forms that redefine the building’s presence in Vanadzor. The concept of “Joy” guided the interior design through bright colors, custom furniture, transparent acrylic chairs, soft lighting, and carefully selected materials, creating a welcoming environment that encourages interaction and positive experiences. The project transforms an underused building into a multifunctional destination and a recognizable contemporary landmark.
