Project overview

Harmony Beneath the Green reimagines the relationship between architecture and landscape by transforming an existing riverside park into a vibrant cultural destination. Rather than occupying the site, the concert hall is embedded beneath the terrain, preserving the park while creating new spaces for culture, recreation and community. Passive environmental strategies, a walkable green roof, and flexible indoor and outdoor venues establish a resilient, inclusive and sustainable civic landmark.

Project history
The project originated through a municipal initiative by the Municipality of Kiseljak, driven by a clear vision to preserve the existing riverside park as a valuable public green space while introducing a new cultural destination. Instead of replacing the landscape with a conventional building, the design process focused on integrating architecture into the terrain, ensuring that the park remained continuous, accessible and central to community life. Throughout the design development, the project evolved into a multifunctional cultural hub that balances environmental preservation with social and cultural ambitions. The project documentation has been completed and establishes a long-term vision for sustainable urban development, strengthening Kiseljak’s cultural identity while safeguarding its public landscape for future generations.
