Project overview

Project history

The Sunset Hill (Mzis Chasvlis Gora) project originated from growing environmental and visitor-management challenges in Bakhmaro, one of Georgia’s most popular mountain resorts. Local stakeholders recognized that increasing tourism, vehicle congestion, waste accumulation, and safety risks threatened the destination’s natural landscape and long-term sustainability. The project was developed as a research- and design-driven initiative integrating architecture, artificial intelligence, and sustainable tourism principles. Beginning with site analysis and stakeholder consultations, the proposal identified practical solutions, including eco-mobility, smart navigation, AI-based visitor management, sustainable infrastructure, and community engagement.
