Project overview

A photovoltaic system with an installed capacity of 9 kWp was integrated into a 225 m² roof area. The roof composition also incorporates 13 Velux roof windows, seamlessly integrated without disrupting the overall visual expression. The result is a solution that combines weather protection, renewable energy generation, natural daylighting, and architectural quality into a single, cohesive roofing system.

Project history
The project was initiated to develop a photovoltaic roof for a residential building with an unconventional pyramidal roof geometry. This unique configuration required the FALT SOLAR by Roofit.Solar system to be adapted to a complex roof surface while seamlessly integrating 13 Velux roof windows into the overall design. The primary objective was to demonstrate that solar energy generation is not limited to conventional roof forms and does not have to compromise a building’s architectural identity. By integrating the photovoltaic system directly into the roofing envelope, the project delivers a seamless, high-performance roof that is fully tailored to the building’s distinctive geometry. The main benefit for the homeowner is an installed photovoltaic capacity of 9 kWp, achieved without the need for conventional, above-roof mounted solar panels, resulting in a clean, integrated appearance while maintaining the roof’s full functionality.
