23 September 2026 — The finalists of SHARE Architecture Awards 2026 have been announced. Their projects now move to London, where the competition’s international jury will evaluate them live, as part of SHARE Architecture Festival & Awards, on 3–4 December, at the Barbican Centre and the Royal Academy of Arts.
The winners in each category, together with the Overall Winner Award, will be announced at the Gala Awards Ceremony, on 4 December, at the Royal Academy of Arts.
151 Finalists Across Three Sections
This year’s competition drew more than 300 submissions. 151 projects made it into the final round and now move to London:
- Completed Buildings: 76 projects
- Ready to Build (Permitted Projects): 52 projects
- Interior Experience: 23 projects
The full list of finalist projects is available at awards.share-architects.com/finalists-2026.
SHARE Architecture Awards is open to architects and practices from every invited country across Central and South-Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus. Since its first edition, the competition has judged every entry on one criterion: design quality.
Why London
“London matters to us because it puts this region’s work in front of people who might otherwise never see it. Architects will stand next to their own projects, talk to jurors, meet investors face to face. That is where people truly discover what this region has to offer,” says Florin Mindirigiu, Co-Founder of SHARE Architects.
Many of the invited countries are going through transformations that architecture registers directly, right now. Cities across the Balkans are repurposing industrial buildings and Ottoman or socialist-era heritage instead of tearing them down. Capitals in Central Asia are rebuilding their urban identity almost from scratch. Markets in Central Europe are absorbing new investment and new building codes at a pace Western Europe took decades to work through, not a few years. The London Main Stage brings that shift into focus this year, through two curated sessions led by the jury’s co-chairs, Peter Murray Dialogues and Martha Thorne Dialogues. Both explore what it means to build when the city around you changes faster than the building you are putting up.
The Jury
The jury is co-chaired by Martha Thorne, former Executive Director of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, and Peter Murray OBE FRIBA, Co-Founder of New London Architecture and Founder of the London Festival of Architecture.
