The Yandex Kazakhstan office began with the client’s request to create more than just a workspace — a building that speaks the language of the city. From the first conversations, there was a clear focus on openness, thoughtful design, and respect for context. We aimed to move away from temporary spectacle toward architecture that inspires trust.
Design began in January 2021; the first sketches appeared in autumn. Construction was completed in 2024. The collaboration was dynamic and thoughtful, involving discussions not only on function but also on the emotional experience for employees and the public.
Since its opening, the building has become a new landmark in Almaty’s business district, shaping the perception of the Yandex brand as resilient, open, and forward-thinking. It has been well received by both the architectural community and the city’s residents.
