Restoration and adaptive reuse of a historical salt mine for cultural heritage and sustainable tourism
The project reactivates a historic(al) chamber of Salina Turda through a lightweight, largely reversible architectural system. A multi-level central structure, bridges and peripheral walkways create a continuous visitor route, integrating exhibition, projection, medical recovery, sport, climbing, adventure and play while preserving the mine as the dominant spatial and heritage experience.
