Project overview

Three roofed segments emerging and transforming within the zigzag composition correspond respectively to the volumes of the shop, office, conference hall, and blacksmith-workshop, while the six alternating openings serve as the exhibition parking slots. Project history
The client was one of the projects of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). According to the initial brief, several separate functional units had to be constructed: office spaces with a conference hall, garages with workshops, storage facilities, and a fertilizer store. The garages were not only intended for parking agricultural machinery but also for its exhibition. However, fulfilling only the purely functional aspect of the assignment and glorifying machinery while ignoring nature did not sit well with us. Therefore, to more strongly emphasize the exhibitional aspect envisaged in the task, We separated the parking openings by stone sloping-frame structures descending from both the right and left sides, leaving green zones between them that follow the natural relief. As a result, the up-and-down flowing basalt strip accentuates the parking area as much as it highlights the surrounding greenery.
